Formaldehyde Testing & UFFI Inspection Montreal
Before being banned in Quebec in 1980, UFFI (Urea Formaldehyde Foam Insulation) was widely used in building construction. Through the 1970’s many homes and offices contained Urea-Formaldehyde Foam Insulation which has been linked to cancer and other serious health problems.
Although it is now rare to find homes or office building with high levels of formaldehyde present, it does still happen. Prolonged exposure to this insulation byproduct can cause adverse health effects especially in children or those who are immune compromised.
Visual Formaldehyde Inspections
UFFI was commonly used in construction of brick buildings in the 1970’s. Injections points may be present every few feet. A thorough visual inspection of your property can tell our experts if the material was used and where it was used.
